Title- Bright Future Year Produced- 2015 Medium- Painting To me this picture symbolises a person who is looking into their bright future. It makes me believe that you can choose who and what you want to be in life. I chose to paint this because I love the effect of big bursts of colour the glasses show. The painting didn’t come out exactly like I was imagining it to be but that’s what I think art is all about. I used black and white to express the girl's dark past and the bright colours in the glasses to show what the person looks forward to or dreams about in the future. I made the glasses large and circular to give a big effect on the kombi and make the glasses stand out a lot. The procedure of making this painting was a lot harder than I thought it would be because of the end result but in the end I’m pretty happy with it. Firstly I found a picture similar to the painting on the internet and printed it out. Next I drew it in my book and then on the canvas. Then I used black and white to make different shades of grey and painted the face and hair. After that I got the bright colours seen in the painting and painted the kombi van and the small sunset in the background. |

Title-Birnen Year Produced-1978 Medium-Painting (oil and plastic on wallboard) I really like the texture of both the pears and the background especially the same yellow green colour making the pears not be too much of the main focus. The brown ground where the pears are sitting looks like the dirt so they must have fallen off laying in those positions. |

Title-Les Yeux Fertiles Year Produced-1979 Medium- Painting (oil and plastic on wallboard) I like this painting because the cars make it look like an old setting but the women looks at the same time very modern. I also like the pop of gold colour coming from her dress and the car behind her. There is also a difference between the red car next to her which is a lot more detailed than the details on her. |

Title- The Green Bottle Year Produced-1955 Medium-Painting (oil on canvas on wood) This artwork can mean many things and it really just comes to your imagination. The first thing I thought of was Brett the artist trying think of something to paint and this is what he saw. He made the green bottle the first thing to look at but at the same time made the background a similar colour so it wasn't to bold. I also really like the the reds and browns. |

Title-Coincidence Year Produced-1973 Medium-Painting (oil on hardboard) I really like this artwork because it shows that it is raining but there are no grey skies. I feel like Artist, Brett Whitely was painting artwok of rain and it started to rain making him call the artwork Coincidence. I really like the water below making the bottom of the painting look rough and the top look peaceful with one drop of rain. |
